O With Accent is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains, in plain language, what information the site does and does not collect when you use it.

The Short Version

The character tool runs entirely in your browser. The text you type into the finder or the converter, and the characters you copy, never leave your device and are never sent to us or anyone else. There is no account to create and no personal profile to build.

Information Stored On Your Device

To make the tool more convenient, a small amount of information is saved locally in your browser using standard web storage. This includes your theme preference, so the site remembers whether you chose light or dark mode, and your favourites shelf, so the characters you star are still there when you return. This information stays on your device, is readable only by this site, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings or the Clear buttons in the tool.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not ask for or store your name, email address or any other personal detail through the tool itself. We do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell or share data, because we do not gather it in the first place. If you choose to email us, we of course see the message you send, and we use it only to reply.

Analytics And Third Parties

The site is built to run without invasive tracking. Where a hosting provider or content network keeps standard server logs, such as anonymised request data used to keep the site running and secure, that information is handled by those providers under their own policies and is not used by us to identify you.

Cookies

The core tool does not require cookies to work. The preferences described above use local storage rather than tracking cookies, and nothing about your use is shared with advertisers.

Children

The site is a general reference tool suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes To This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
